Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the LyricVid mobile application and related website pages (together, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using LyricVid, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
LyricVid lets you overlay timed lyrics on a video, style the text, optionally replace audio, and export a finished video to your device gallery. Features may change over time as we improve the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to use the App under the laws of your country (and at least 13 years old where that is the minimum age for similar services). If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
3. License to use LyricVid
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use LyricVid on devices you own or control, solely for creating and exporting your own lyric videos in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right
- Attempt to interfere with ads, security, or the normal operation of the App
- Misrepresent affiliation with LyricVid or use our branding without permission
4. Your content and responsibilities
You keep all rights to the videos, audio, and other materials you import (“Your Content”). You are solely responsible for Your Content and for any exported videos you create or share.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to use Your Content with LyricVid, including:
- Rights to the video and audio you import
- Any required licenses for music, performances, or other copyrighted works
- Permission from people appearing in your videos where required by law
LyricVid is a tool. Using the App does not grant you ownership of songs, lyrics, trademarks, or other third-party intellectual property.
5. Lyrics and third-party services
Song search and synced lyrics may be provided through LRCLIB and other third parties. Lyric coverage is not guaranteed for every song. Your use of lyrics must comply with applicable copyright law and the terms of those third-party providers.
The App may also use Google Mobile Ads and other platform services. Those providers are governed by their own terms and policies.
6. Advertising
The free version of LyricVid may show advertisements. Ads are provided by third parties and may change without notice. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for destinations linked from those ads.
7. Exports and device performance
Export quality and speed depend on your device, source media, and system resources. Some formats, sample rates, or very large files may be unsupported or may fail to export. Always keep your own backups of important media.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that lyrics will be available or perfectly timed for every track.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LYRICVID AND ITS DEVELOPERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF THE APP WAS FREE).
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify LyricVid and its developers against claims arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights (including copyright claims related to music or lyrics).
11. App store terms
If you downloaded LyricVid from Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another store, those store terms also apply. The store operator is not responsible for providing support for LyricVid unless required by that store’s rules.
12. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms, change features, or discontinue the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s country of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
